To be installed on Chapman-owned Windows PC, please contact the IS&T Service Desk by emailing servicedesk@chapman.edu. They will need your name, email address, contact phone number, and computer name.

If you plan to install SPSS on a either a Chapman-owned or a personally-owned Mac, you will need to access SPSS via vlab.chapman.edu or follow the instructions below labeled "SPSS for Personal and Home Devices (Mac)".

How to find your computer name:

Windows 7:

Go to and click on the Start Menu
Right-click on Computer, and then clicking Properties (the computer icon may be on your desktop)
Under Computer name, domain, and workgroup settings, you can find your computer name, and its full computer name if your computer is on a domain.

Windows 10:

On the search field next to the start menu (where it asks “Ask me anything”, type “Computer name.”
The search result will show “View your PC name.” Click on the result and a window will appear with the PC Name.

To obtain a product key to register the software and to access the download link, go to the license registration tool.
After downloading the software and agreeing to the license agreement terms, select a location to install the application.
Click "Launch Licence Wizard"
Click "Next"
Click "Authorized User License," then click "Next"
Enter the product key, and click "Next"
Click "Finish"

After the package is finished downloading, click the zip file (SPSS_Statistics_mac.dmg.zip). Double-click on the installer package after it unzips to open the SPSS Installer.
Click "Agree"
Click "Continue", then "Install"
Click on "SPSS Statistics Application," then click "Launch License Wizard"
Click "Next" to enter the license code
Click "Finish"
