Are my recordings safe, and who has access to them?
OneDrive for Business data in your account is only accessible to you unless you choose to share them with others. Remember, though, that all data stored on University systems is subject to our use policy, and may be accessed in certain situations (e.g. a legal court order, HR directive, or a request for technical assistance from you).
Does a copy remain in Zoom and/or YuJa?
The ZoomDownloader does not affect retention on other platforms. Data will remain in those sources, subject to the policies of those specific platforms.
Can I delete my Zoom recordings from the OneDrive folder?
Yes. ZoomDownloader will only transfer data to your account once. You may move, rename, or delete and the recordings will not be transferred again.
How much can I store in my OneDrive for Business account?
You may store up to 5TB by default, and we can extend this for you if necessary. Feel free to use as much space as you wish.
Do I have to install the OneDrive client to use the ZoomDownloader?
No. You may choose to manage your recordings through the web client at portal.office.com and forgo the OneDrive client.
I use the OneDrive client. Will this affect my local storage?
Windows 10 and MacOS Mojave and newer utilize a feature called “Files On Demand”, which will store a link to the file on your computer without consuming space. See the above section entitled “Recommended settings in Zoom and OneDrive” for more information on how to prevent any unnecessary space consumption on your device.
