Remote training

Would you like to learn from a trainer? The Instructional Technology team offers regular workshops, drop-in support hours, and 1:1 consultations to help you when and where you need.

Self-Paced "Teaching with Tech: New Instructor Orientation" 

"Teaching with Tech" offers an online, step-by-step orientation to help you build your course through self-directed modules. Instructors are automatically enrolled and given a practice sandbox. Sign into Canvas to find the Teaching with Tech: New Instructor Orientation course on your dashboard.

Web-based, self-help options

Canvas has a great group of guides and a robust community ready to help you. We also have a "Getting Started with Canvas" tutorial for Chapman instructors who are new to Canvas or need a refresher.

The Canvas Learning Management System helps instructors support the learning needs of their students by giving them a space to organize learning. Instructors can organize files and readings, deliver multi-media content, add formative and summative assessments, grade, integrate with textbooks, communicate with students, review student learning analytics, and much more.
