Welcome to the Chapman Fischer Identity Management System resources page.

We have switched to Fischer Identity Management System on June 13, 2022, to improve our ability to manage Chapman identity and system access. Fischer offers a flexible and adaptable platform that can meet the varying needs of our organizations and will help us provide improved workflows while keeping our data safe. Fischer system is the primary identity management system and will be used to provision all Chapman accounts, including Persons of Interest (POI). POI's are non-Chapman personnel (e.g., Contractors and Clinical Preceptors) who provide services to Chapman Departments.

To help you with entering and updating POI information utilizing this new service, additional resources have been provided below.

Many users can access their accounts via the new self-registration process. For POIs, when an account is created, an email will be sent to both the POI and the POI's sponsor/Manager. The email to the POI will be sent to the person's personal email. The email will include a link the individual can access to claim their account. They will be required to enroll in 2FA and will then be able to create their own password.

Persons of Interest are Independent Contractors, Temp Workers, Clinical Preceptors, and Volunteers.

When an account is created an email will be sent to both the POI and the POI’s sponsor/Manager. The email to the POI will be sent to the person’s personal email. The email will include a link the individual can access to claim their account. They will be required to enroll in 2FA and will then be able to create their own password.

An email can be resent from the system. The process is defined in the Operations Guide. If the issue persists, check the POI’s personal email address entered or contact Service Desk for assistance.

The Sponsor is the person requesting the account to be created or the person who the POI will be reporting to. This information is required.

All POI’s, with the exception of Clinical Preceptors, have a default end date 6 months from the time the account creation.

Clinical Preceptors will have a default end date of 1 year from date of account creation.

YES. End dates can be updated at the time of account creation in required.

When a request is made to extend the end date, instructions are provided in the Operations Guide to update the end date for the individual.

An email reminder of the approaching end date will be sent to both the POI and the Sponsor.

Reminders will start 30 days prior to target end date. If no action is taken, additional reminders will be sent 20 days, then 10, 5, 3, and 1 day before end date if not action is taken to extend the end date.

When the end date is reached the account will be disabled

YES. When an account is created, you can specify the date the individual will start their engagement with Chapman. The system will place the request in a “Pending” state until the start date at which time the account will be created.
