online, it is equally important to build your network. Think about people you already know including peers, faculty, former/current supervisors
and coworkers, family, etc.
Skills represent your ability to perform tasks as needed and are highly sought after
by employers from all fields. Identifying what essential skills are needed for specific
roles or industries can help make you a stronger candidate!

Interning?
Earn academic credit by registering your internship! Students may apply for academic credit for qualifying in-person, virtual, paid or
unpaid internships.
Making a positive first impression with what you wear can help set the stage with
those interviewing you or those you hope to impress, leading to better interview outcomes.
Remember that it is not a one-size-fits-allapproach and doing your industry research is critical.
Career Transitions
You may find yourself, either now or in the future, facing a career transition. Career transitions can be an intentional desire to switch industries or functions or due to outside factors like losing a job, moving, etc. due to job loss, after taking a leave of absence or because of a new intrinsic desire to reinvent yourself and switch functions or industries.
Regardless of what triggers your career changetransition, making strategic decisions is critical for a successful transition. A strategic
career transition includes self-assessment, evaluation of motivations and realities
driving your career change, communication plans and exploration of resources. Please make an appointmtent with a career advisor to discuss your goals and action steps to help with your transition.
