»Public Safety Community Liaison Team

The Chapman University Department of Public Safety collaborates closely with the Community Relations Department to strengthen relationships among students, staff, faculty, local residents, and city partners. This partnership aims to promote mutual respect, safety, and understanding within the neighborhoods surrounding our campuses in Orange, Anaheim, and Irvine.
Public Safety Officers assigned to this program play an active role in crime prevention and education by participating in community presentations, attending neighborhood meetings, and supporting local events. These officers are equipped with resources and knowledge about university policies, off-campus living expectations, and strategies for being respectful and responsible neighbors.
In addition to proactive outreach, Public Safety supports Community Relations with follow-up inquiries, mediation efforts, and conflict resolution. Our officers are available 24/7 and can be reached at (714) 997-6763 or by email at liaison@groups.chapman.edu.
