ยป Property Maintenance
Whether this is the first time living on your own in a new place, or even if you have rented before, the upkeep can be a daunting task. Even more so, people's homes and neighborhoods are part of their identity, and they like to keep them looking good. Here are a few things to keep in mind to make sure your home is always welcoming and respectful of the neighborhood you live in.

Bring in trash cans, newspapers, and mail in a timely fashion
- Wheeling in your trash cans after trash day is a simple task and only needs to be done once per week. Rotate the responsibility between all of your roommates so everyone is equally responsible.
- Bring your mail in on a daily basis. And if a newspaper gets left on your driveway, bring that in too! Even if you didn’t request it, it’s still on your property and should be disposed of properly.
Take pride in your neighborhood and where you live
If you’ve had a gathering, make sure you pick up any trash left behind — not only on your property, but make sure to check surrounding sidewalks and streets, as well as the yards of your neighbors.
Only use appropriate outdoor furniture
Indoor furniture, such as upholstered couches, should not be used as outdoor furniture. If exposed to weather, they can become moldy and a pest control issue.
Did you know?
You can schedule up to four bulky trash pick ups a year. So, if you are getting rid of an old mattress, a refrigerator, or other large household items, call CR&R to schedule a pick up at (714) 372-8727.
