Internship Advising

Beyond traditional classroom learning, you can serve as a Faculty Internship Advisor. In this role, you guide students through their academic credit internships, from application approval to final grading. This involves regular check-ins and helping students connect their academic work with practical experience while emphasizing the NACE career readiness competencies—essential skills employers seek in candidates.

Enhance On-Campus Employment

Additionally, consider how your on-campus student positions can benefit from the Panther Professional  Development Program, which leverages on-campus employment. These roles become more than just temporary employment by embedding the NACE competencies into these on-campus jobs. They attract dedicated, career-focused student staff, resulting in a broader pool of qualified candidates, increased loyalty and enhanced career and professional development opportunities for students working on campus.

Training and program overviews are available for on-campus supervisors to maximize these benefits. Start here and then review the documents below. If you have any additional questions, feel free to contact us at revilla@chapman.edu.

“I’ve seen firsthand how this program helps student employees gain clarity, confidence, and purpose in their professional development. It provides them with the space and structure to reflect on their strengths, set meaningful goals, and learn how to communicate their experience in a way that resonates with employers. By the end of the program, students are more prepared for internships, interviews, and the transition into their next chapter."
