» Data Reports

Most users access Chapman’s available data through reports that are written by analysts who own the data and know it well. Those reports are accessed in all kinds of ways: links on webpages, links delivered via email, or queries that can be run only after logging in to a source system.

We are in the process of consolidating the many locations you may find available data so that you can easily find what you’re looking for. In the meantime, here’s some places you can start.

Keep in mind that most of Chapman’s data is protected, and simply having a Chapman account is not usually sufficient. If you find you don’t have access to a report that you need in order to perform your job duties, contact the owner of the report, or look for access instructions on the page where the report link is found. (We’re working on making this easier, too!)

Institutional Data

Institutional DataMart

The Institutional DataMart is a repository of data gathered by Institutional Research and Decision Support (IRADS) from various institutional sources.  The provided data are a "snapshot" of the official Fall census and reflect many of the common data definitions put forward by IPEDS.  They are used for official reporting.

Panther Analytics

Panther Analytics is a reporting platform that uses Chapman University data from PeopleSoft Finance, PeopleSoft HCM, and PeopleSoft Campus Solutions. Panther Analytics aims to equip our administrative community with the tools and the data to be better informed and make better decisions. A wide range of reports is available to help with monitoring student registration in classes, finance and budgets, research grants, student worker hours, and much more.

Institutional Survey Results

Chapman’s comprehensive institutional survey schedule, managed by IRADS, is designed to assess student learning, engagement, satisfaction, and overall college perceptions. While most surveys are administered to current students, faculty and staff are also surveyed to determine their perceptions of Chapman University. Survey results can be found on the IRADS Website.

Census

Census Data Archive

The Census Data Archive is a repository of all the census enrollment files by school and department dating back to the 2003-2004 academic year. These files are maintained by the Institutional Research and Decision Support Office and are restricted and permission-based. Deans, associate deans, chairs, and program directors are provided access to the appropriate enrollment census data and reports for planning and decision making.
