Community Involvement Grant

» Community Involvement Grant

The Office of Community Relations is pleased to offer the Community Involvement Grant (CIG) for Chapman University students and student organizations. We're proud to call the City of Orange our home and we believe that when we can partner with surrounding residents, nonprofits, schools, and businesses on initiatives that make our community an even greater place, we all win. As an integral part of the community, Chapman encourages our student organizations to help neighbors, support local non-profits, and find new ways to engage in the surrounding community. As a continuing effort to build a stronger sense of community between students and neighbors, the CIG will provide resources for students who want to engage and support the City of Orange.

There will be 2 total grants available per semester and funding is up to $500 per grant. A student organization can only receive one grant per semester. The project must be completed before the end of the current semester and priority will be given to those projects that can be completed within four weeks of application. The projects must be within the City of Orange and strictly used for, programs and activities that help build a sense of community. Please reference the acceptable examples and exclusion list for more details.
