Report a Neighborhood Concern

Contact Community Relations about recurring student behavior, parking patterns, or other Chapman-related neighborhood concerns. 

For an active disturbance requiring an immediate response, contact the Orange Police Department. Community Relations does not respond to active incidents.

Off-Campus Residences

Off-campus residences are privately owned and are not affiliated with or owned by Chapman University. Please note that the university does not have jurisdiction over the residents of these properties.

If there are disturbances at these houses, please call Orange PD. Since these houses are not owned or operated by Chapman, our Public Safety team cannot respond to complaints unless requested by Orange PD. Chapman Public Safety does not have law enforcement jurisdiction, so these calls need to be directed to Orange PD. 

Chapman receives a weekly report from Orange PD with calls involving Chapman students, and the addresses on this report are referred to student conduct.

Please call the Orange Police Department dispatch at (714) 744-7444 for non-emergency issues where an immediate response is needed, such as a loud and unruly party.

Killefer Community Space

The historic Lydia D. Killefer School has been restored to house Chapman University's Institute for Quantum Studies and Advanced Physics Laboratory. 

Opened in 1931, Killefer School played an important role in California civil rights history. In 1944, it became one of thestate's first schools to desegregate, three years before the landmark Mendez et al. v. Westminister decision.

The restored building includes an exhibition honoring this history, enhanced outdoor areas, and a community room that may be available for select community uses.
