Upon leaving Chapman University, you will lose access to software, platforms, and portals. Please review this page to learn more.

Important Note:

Alums will keep their Chapman University email account for a limited time and with limited storage space. Faculty, Staff, and persons of Interest (POI) will lose all access.

If you have been using Chapman University's cloud storage, you may want to save or migrate your files to a personal account. Scroll down for details.

*Person-of-Interest (guests, temporary staff, contractors, visitors, special projects, and more). 

**Alums will keep their email, and the grace period for Microsoft OneDrive will be one year post-graduation. Alums will retain their M365 license for one year, during which they can only access Office Online (the web version). The desktop Office applications will no longer be licensed. Emeritus Faculty shall be entitled to email services and library privileges.


All Chapman files and data belong to the university. Please see IS&T's Policies and Procedures for more information. Faculty, Staff, and Persons of Interest (POI) will lose all access to their email and network on the date of separation from Chapman University. You will also lose access to buildings.

Upon leaving Chapman University, you must return your ID card, loaned devices, and equipment, including but not limited to tablets, phones, computers, adapters, peripherals, etc., to IS&T. You may return them to your supervisor or hiring manager.


Data Migration:
As mentioned above,
All Chapman files and data belong to Chapman University. If you have personal data that you would like to transfer, you may use the steps below.

Adobe:
Your Adobe license will elapse one year after your student account becomes inactive. To move your data, visit graduation.adobe.com. Although this tool is called Student File Transfer, it's available for faculty, staff, and students. Please note that Adobe Portfolio is not currently supported by this tool, and according to Adobe Engineering, this continues to be a work in progress. In the meantime, we recommend that students use Adobe's Portfolio transfer service.

Google Workspace:
Use Google Takeout to download your data or transfer a personal Google account.

Microsoft OneDrive:
Use Transfer Wizard to transfer your data to a personal Microsoft account. If you do not have a personal Microsoft account, you may download the data to your computer.
