Throughout the school year, the Greek Life Office conducts programming to supplement what chapters offer their members. We offer leadership development through leadership retreats, executive board forums, conference programming development, and scholarship opportunities.

Academic Development

Academic Achievement Dinner

The Academic Achievement Dinner is a dinner that the Greek Life Office holds to recognize Greek Life members that achieve a 4.0 GPA during the course of an academic year. During the Fall 2017 semester, the Greek Life Office held the dinner in the Fish Interfaith Center on campus and 59 members members of the Greek community were recognized for their academic achievement.

Greek Scholarship Opportunities

The Greek Life Office is proud to award the Brad and Kim Cohen Greek Leadership Endowment to a Greek Life member who initiates change within their own chapters or the whole Greek community. Below are the requirements of the scholarship:

Member Development

AFLV Conference 

The AFLV Conference is an annual conference that the Greek Life Office takes students to in San Diego. The conference holds leadership sessions that the students learn on how to better lead their chapters and network with other Greek chapter members from around the region. These sessions center around topics such as: 

  • Fraternity Brotherhood 
  • Sexual Assault in Greek Life 
  • Making Your Greek Life Experience Matter 
  • Recruitment for Chapters 
  • How to Manage Chapter Executive Boards

Community Clean Up Crew 

The Community Clean Up Crew is a weekly clean up initiative that the chapter members hold to help clean up the neighborhoods around the Chapman campus. Different chapters volunteer each week and  bring 10-15 members.

Hazing Prevention Week

National Hazing Prevention Week, which happens yearly between September 24-28, is a week the the Greek Life Office strives to educate chapter members on the hazards of hazing. We pass out information to all Greek members, with some of the documents attached below:

Olympus Forum

Olympus Forum is a conference that the Greek Life Office holds at the start of the Spring semester for the executive board members of the fraternity and sorority chapters. We hold sessions for these members related to:

  • Chapter Risk Management 
  • Finance 
  • Marketing 
  • Recruitment Rush
  • Philanthropy Management

President's Retreat

The President's Retreat is a gathering that the Greek Life Office holds before the start of each Spring semester. We hold the retreat to help the incoming chapter presidents adjust to their new roles. Some of the sessions that we hold to help the new presidents are:

  • Experiences that Brought You to Being A President 
  • Personal Core Values 
  • Leadership Skills they Have and Ones They Want to Improve 
  • Risk Management 
  • Chapter Management
