Chapman University's health insurance plan is through United Healthcare. Students may visit the plan website at www.uhcsr.com/chapman to view full plan description, terms of coverage, and more.

+ - Undergraduate Students (Optional)

Who is eligible?

Students who are enrolled in at least six (6) units during the fall and spring semesters are eligible to purchase the Student Health Insurance. Health Insurance must be requested each academic year to maintain continued coverage.

Student Health Insurance Cost

The cost of the Student Health Insurance for one academic year is $1,840 ($920 per semester). Students are billed for the plan in their tuition and fee bill. The fall tuition eBill will reflect the cost of insurance for the fall semester. The spring tuition eBill will reflect the cost of insurance for spring semester.

Upon receipt of the completed Student Health Request from found below, the Student Account will be billed for the requested services. The fall tuition eBill will reflect the cost of insurance and/or health center services for the fall semester. The spring tuition eBill will reflect the cost of insurance and/or health center services for spring semester.

How to waive coverage?

All International students are automatically billed for Student Health Insurance. If you have coverage through an individual or family plan, you can waive the health insurance. The online health insurance waiver site opens TBD, and closes TBD. If you intend to exercise the health insurance waiver option, you must do so by the deadline date or be responsible for the $920 per semester fee.

+ - Rinker Health Science Campus

Certain Rinker Health Science students are automatically billed for Student Health Insurance. The health insurance fees are assessed on a trimester basis after class enrollment has been verified and will be billed to your student account for fall, spring and summer semesters.

If you have coverage through an individual or family plan, you can waive the health insurance. The online health insurance waiver site opens Monday, April 23, 2018, and closes on Monday, May 21, 2018 at 5:00 .p.m. If you intend to exercise the health insurance waiver option, you must do so by the deadline date or be responsible for the $613 per semester fee.

+ - All International Students

All International students are automatically billed for Student Health Insurance and Health Center Services. Fees are assessed on a semester basis after class enrollment has been verified and will be billed to your student account for fall and spring semesters.
