New Student Advising and Registration

»New Student Advising and Registration

Our Academic Advising team will help you prepare for class registration, your first semester and a great academic experience overall here at Chapman. You will not be able to enroll into your fall courses until you meet with your advisor.

For students entering in fall 2026, an invitation to schedule your advising appointment will be emailed to you in May.

Registration process

A key part of preparing for your first semester at Chapman is selecting your classes. The resources on our Registration Process website will help you understand that process and register for classes. In addition, note that:

Find your advisor
Every student is assigned a dedicated advisor. Over the summer, they can help you with your fall schedule and prepare for a great start. You can find yours on our Find Your Advisor page.

Language requirements

At Chapman, you are required to fulfill a language requirement as part of your General Education requirements.

Your first step toward completing your language requirement is to submit your Language Planning Form. This will help you and your advisor figure out which language classes to take, or even waive your language requirement entirely.

Find your advisor

All undergraduate students have an assigned Academic Advisor. You can find yours—and reach out with any questions—on our Advising website.
