Task Forces

SGA is comprised of several task forces, which are smaller groups of senators and other interested students that meet on a regular basis to ensure the student voice is being properly represented. Task forces are created and dissolved as-needed, each with a unique goal. If you are interested in joining a task force, please reach out to the Director of Senate or the Task Force Chair.

Campus Planning & Design Task Force

The Campus Planning & Design Task Force advocates for and funds improvements to student-facing spaces in collaboration with campus partners. The ultimate goal is to responsibly allocate accumulated SGA reserves to better serve students, maximize the impact of their student activity fees, and leave a meaningful, lasting legacy at Chapman University.

Food Accessibility Task Force

The concern that the Food Accessibility Task Force aims to address is a lack of equity for students' dietary needs at Chapman, one of them being Halal food for the Muslim religious community. Our goal is to advocate and work directly with students and the university-contracted Sodexo to bring Halal food options to campus.

Sexual Assault Awareness & Prevention Task Force

The Sexual Assault Awareness & Prevention (SAAP) Task Force is dedicated to cultivating and fostering a campus culture of respect, safety, and accountability. Through education, advocacy, and collaboration, SAAP will work to raise awareness about sexual violence, promote prevention strategies, and support survivors. By engaging students, faculty, and campus organizations, we aim to empower the Chapman community by recognizing harmful behaviors, intervening safely, and contributing to a campus environment free from sexual misconduct.
