We are excited to welcome you to our International & U.S. Abroad Student Orientation! Please join us for informative sessions!

At this event, you will learn about Chapman's programs and services, and our policies and procedures regarding immigration regulations, employment opportunities, and more.

This orientation is mandatory for students in the U.S. on an F-1 Visa. If you are not able to attend this mandatory International Student Orientation, please contact iss@chapman.edu to schedule a make-up orientation.

F-1 Student Check-In

All new international students are required to complete the F-1 Student Check-In with us upon arrival to the U.S. This is a procedure that verifies a student’s immigration status to ensure that the student is eligible to start an academic program at Chapman for the upcoming academic semester.

Be sure to bring your passport, F-1 visa, I-20 Form, and 1-94 to orientation so we can complete this process.

International Student Services provides general guidance. Any advice provided to you by the ISS should not be construed as legal advice.

Additionally, due to the fluid nature of governmental interpretation, government agencies such as USCIS/ICE/CBP may change their interpretation of immigration laws/regulations and eligibility requirements for benefits at any time. We will do our best to provide the most current guidance.

Each case is fact-specific and it is advised that you contact an experienced immigration attorney if you have questions regarding your situation.
