Your Incoming Student Checklist is a resource to help you get off to a great start in your first semester at Chapman. View your checklist to see what you need to do to prepare for your first semester.
Where to find your checklist
You can access your checklist on your Application Status Page. Your checklist is always up to date with your pending to-do items. It also shows which items you've already completed. You can log in using the email and password you used to apply to Chapman.
What if I need help submitting my checklist items?
If you need help submitting any of the items on your checklist, see our page on how to submit your checklist items. This page gives you more details on the items on your checklist and will help you with submitting them.
To-do items not listed on your checklist
Your checklist will contain almost all the to-do items you will need to take care
of before you arrive at Chapman. However, some to-do items are not listed on your
checklist. See below for additional submissions and dates you should be aware of.
Submit AP exam results/IB transcripts (if applicable)
Due: As soon as available.
- If you took AP exams and/or IB HL exams, Chapman will need the official scores to review for potential university credit.
- For reference on which AP/ IB exams Chapman reviews for credit, see ourAP equivalencies page andIB equivalencies page.
- When you are ready to submit your official scores, use the links below.

Submit the Language Planning Form (optional)
Due: mid-June
- The Language Planning Form helps you plan how to fulfill Chapman's language requirement.
- This form is optional. But submitting it will help you and your Academic Advisor plan
how you will complete your language requirement at Chapman.
Register for Undergraduate Student and Family Orientation (student attendance is required)
Due: before Orientation
- First-Year Student Orientation is Tuesday, August 18–Sunday, August 23.
- Family Orientation is Tuesday, August 18–Wednesday, August 19.
- All incoming Chapman students are required to attend Orientation. Parents and families are strongly encouraged to attend.

Submit information to Student Health Services
Due: By the first day of the semester (Monday, August 24)
- Our office of Student Health Services needs some information form you regarding health and medical records.
- See ourStudent Health Services page for incoming students for instructions on how to submit this information.
Register for a parking permit (optional)
Due: By the first day of the semester (Monday, August 24)
- If you plan on bringing a vehicle to campus, you will need a parking permit for it.
- Permits are free but mandatory.

Key Dates and Deadlines
- May 1: Housing Reservation Payment due for first-year students.
- May 15: Housing Application due for first-year students. You can learn more about applying for first-year housing here.
- July: Fall course registration opens. Incoming students will be assigned a specific date and time when their course registration opens. Those dates/times will be available in your Student Center in early June.
- July: Housing Notification email sent to your Chapman email account. The email will provide your housing assignment, roommates' name(s) and contact information.
- July: Fall semester billing statement sent. You will receive an email notification (sent to your Chapman email account) when your billing statement is available.
- Monday, July 20: Tuition and Fees Payment Due.For more information on making a payment, visit our Making a Payment page.
- Tuesday, August 18: First-year student move-in day. You can learn more about the process and what to bring on our Move-in page.
- Monday, August 24: First day of class.
- Monday, August 24: Tuition and Fees Master Payment Contract due. Students can review and submit the contract via their Student Center eForms tile.
