Since 2016, Student Government Association has led an effort to expand fitness center facility space at Chapman. With the addition of Henley Hall Fitness Center in Fall 2019, campus fitness center space was doubled! Henley Hall Fitness Center opened on September 18, 2019.

Henley Hall Fitness Center will be closed December 14-January 5 for winter break.

Interterm (January 6-February 2) hours are as follows:

Henley Hall Fitness Center

  • Monday-Friday 10 am-10 pm
  • Saturday and Sunday 10 am-6 pm

Facility Features and Amenities 

  • 4,000 square feet of dedicated space for fitness and recreation in the Henley Hall Basement
  • Two dedicated group fitness rooms: a Spin Studio for indoor cycling sessions and a Multipurpose Group Fitness Room for a variety of activities (Yoga, Zumba, High-Intensity Interval Training and more)
  • Fitness equipment for strength, functional fitness, and cardio workouts
  • Open space for free weights, stretching and core workouts
  • Guest Services Desk with free sports equipment including basketballs, volleyballs and more

Facility Access

  • Sign the annual fitness and recreation waiver for 2019-20 beginning August 19, 2019 on https://recportal.chapman.edu
  • Henley Hall Fitness Center is exclusively for current Chapman students!
  • All current Chapman students have access to the existing Julianne Argyros Fitness Center.
  • All faculty and staff have access to the existing Julianne Argyros Fitness Center.
