»Where to Eat at Chapman Open House

Ready to grab a bite to eat? Here are some on-campus and off-campus options. Note that:

  • We will have continental breakfast stations open from 9:30 to 11 a.m. The stations will be located: 
    • In the Attallah Piazza, near the Wells Fargo Stage.
    • At the Charles C. Chapman Statue.
  • Snack stations will be located throughout campus from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. (see map in the program or app for locations. 
  • After the Open House, you can use your Sweet Treat ticket to get a free dessert in Old Towne!

Lunch options at Chapman Open House

  • All attendees will get a ticket for a free meal at Randall Dining Commons (our dining hall) or a small item from a food truck.
  • On-campus eateries will also be open with food to purchase, and Old Towne Orange has plenty of options as well.

Free meal at Randall Dining Commons ("The Caf")

Open from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. Stations stop making additional food at 1 p.m.

You can use your meal ticket to help yourself to an all-you-can-eat meal at our dining hall. You can eat along with Chapman students, and get drinks, sides and desserts. We will have vegetarian/vegan options and can accommodate dietary restrictions.

Note the Randall Dining Commons is located within our Residence Life area, so you can easily tour our residence halls before or after your meal.

Open from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. (or while supplies last)

Chapman regularly hosts visiting food trucks in our Attallah Piazza during lunch times. For the Open House, we have two trucks offering small items to visitors. If you don't have time to make it to the dining hall, you can use your free food item ticket to pick up something at

  • Guac N' Roll Tacos: Two-taco plate (chicken, pork or Soyrizo)
  • Kabobaholic: Rice bowl (gyro, chicken, beef or falafel) topped with tzatziki, tomatoes and pickles 

Both trucks will be providing a pre-set item to guests.

 

Dine in an on-campus eatery

There will be several on-campus eateries open as well. These establishments will offer food and beverages for sale (food tickets are not redeemable at on-campus eateries).

Open 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.

  • Located in Argyros Forum.
  • Serving bagels, sandwiches, pastries, coffee and more.

The Chapman University Jamba Juice location. Two students are at the counter.Jamba Juice

Open 1 p.m. to 6 p.m.

  • Located in Argyros Forum.
  • Smoothies, iced drinks, bowls and breakfast items.

  • Mexican-style cuisine includes burritos, bowls, 3-cheese nachos, Mexican gumbo and more.

Off-Campus Dining OptionsStudents in Old Towne

You can also explore dining options near campus. The local area is packed with plenty of great places to eat that you can walk to in under 10 minutes.
