Chapman University Fowler School of Law's Academic Centers have been designed to support professors and visiting scholars as they conduct focused legal study on a diverse array of critical legal topics.  Chief among them are:

Students are encouraged to take courses within these subject areas from professors, who are leading researchers in their respective areas of expertise.

The centers also play host to interdisciplinary conferences, produce compelling symposia, and generate publications to further advance knowledge in these fields.

Global Project for LGBTQ Rights and Feminism

In 2010, the Center for Global Law and Development created the Global Project for LGBTQ Rights and Feminism to bring leading scholars and policymakers to Chapman University to discuss a wide range of issues related to family law, marriage equality, discrimination based on sex and sexual orientation and more.
