Creative Cloud is Adobe’s suite of creative software, which includes Acrobat, Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, and Premiere.

Available To:

Chapman University faculty, students (coming Fall 2019), and staff on up to two (2) concurrent machines:

  • Personally-owned device or computer
  • Chapman University-owned computer

How To Get a Copy

The instructions differ depending on whether you're on a personally-owned device or a Chapman-owned device. Please be sure you're following the correct procedures below.

Already Have an Account?

If you already have an Adobe account associated with your Chapman email:

  1. Follow the Adobe Migration website instructions and be sure to follow "step 4" if you want to migrate your data.
  2. Once your account and data has been migrated, contact Adobe Tech Support to deactivate your personal paid subscription and inform them that "My University now has a new enterprise agreement with Adobe and I don't need a personal paid subscription". They will then deactivate your subscription and there be no penalty for deactivating your subscription.
  3. If you need assistance migrating your data manually, please contact our Service Desk at servicedesk@chapman.edu.

For Personally-Owned Devices

To Create a New Account:

  1. Go to adobe.com
  2. Click "Sign In" at the top right corner.
  3. If prompted, login with your
    • Chapman University email address (username@chapman.edu)
    • Chapman University account password
      • Same password used to access your email account.
  4. Select the software you want to download (you have access to all of the Adobe Creative Cloud!)
  5. Create and share your work!

For Chapman University-Owned Computers

Creative Cloud and downloaded apps are available to all Staff and Faculty, PC or Mac, with a valid/active Chapman University email account.

Go to: Adobe Creative Cloud Downloads website and use the instructions and screenshots below to guide you through the process:

A Download will prompt on the bottom of the Windows Task bar, click Save.


What do you want to do with Creative Cloud set-up.exe? Run or Save


After saving file, click on Open Folder

After clicking on Open Folder, the download folder will prompt you with Creative Cloud Set-Up File.

Creative Cloud Installer will prompt you to Sign In or Sign Up. First time users? Click Sign Up

Once you click Sign Up, will prompt you to fill in your information, be sure to use your Chapman email address and password

Click Sign up, you will receive an email to confirm your email address, verify your email

Proceed to install Adobe, click on Start Installing

Adobe Creative Cloud will start Installing and you are all set!

Getting Help Installing

IF you prefer not to follow the instructions above to install yourself, you can contact the IS&T Service Desk by emailing servicedesk@chapman.edu. They will need your name, email address, contact phone number, and computer name.

If you're not sure what your computer name is, follow these instructions:

Mac OS X 10.4 and later:

  • Go to and Launch your System Preferences.
  • Click on the Sharing pane.
  • Your Computer Name is listed at the top of the pane.

Windows 7:

  • Go to and click on the Start Menu
  • Right-click on Computer, and then clicking Properties (the computer icon may be on your desktop)
  • Under Computer name, domain, and workgroup settings, you can find your computer name, and its full computer name if your computer is on a domain.

Need Adobe Training?

There are many good tutorials for beginners to advanced users available for Adobe products on LinkedIn Learning (formerly Lynda.com). Students, faculty and staff have full access to over 10,000 online training videos and tutorials. Users are required to login using their Chapman username and password.

If you are interested in in-person training on using Adobe Creative Cloud services, please visit the Live Training Registration form to submit your request. You may also visit the Tech Hub during normal business hours, located in DeMille Hall 104.

Important Note

Once you leave Chapman University, you must remove ALL Site-licensed software from your personal computers.
