To login, start at the Blackboard Login page.

You will see two fields:

Information for Blackboard login

Can I use the Blackboard Mobile App?
Yes, it is free for Chapman students and can be downloaded from the Apple or Android Store.

Why don't all of my courses appear?
Starting Fall 2015, courses will be listed in your Student Center on my.chapman.edu?

How long ago did you register?
If its been more than 24 hours contact the IS&T Service Desk at servicedesk@chapman.edu or call 714-997-6600.

When are Blackboard courses available?
Blackboard courses will be available within 24 hours of registration, unless your instructor has chosen to make your course unavailable.

Do all professors use Blackboard?
Blackboard use by instructors is optional. Some instructors choose not to use Blackboard.

What is inside a Blackboard course?
It depends on what the instructor has added/enabled. Contact your instructor for information about the content in your course.

Which browsers are compatible with Blackboard?
See the list of compatible browsers.

How do I print in Blackboard?
Download the document and save it to your hard drive and then open it and print.

How do I find my grades on Blackboard?
On the “My Chapman” tab in Blackboard, in the upper left corner under Tools you can find the “My Grades” menu option to view any grades that your professors have posted on Blackboard.

How do I find my courses?
When you log in to blackboard at https://blackboard.chapman.edu/, you will see a partial list of your courses on the upper-right corner. You can also click on the tab entitled “Courses” to see a full list of your courses.

What if I don’t see my course listed?
If your course isn’t listed under the Courses tab, chances are you:
(a) haven’t yet been set up to teach the course, in which case you should contact your administrative assistant,
(b) courses haven’t been loaded yet, in which case you will have to wait until about two months before the semester begins, or
(c) your courses are not showing on your front page list, in which case you should click on the cog wheel (settings) in the upper-right corner of the courses list. From here, you can click on the courses you would like to have showing on your list (or unclick those you don’t want to have showing).

Can I add a guest to my Bb course?
In order to have a guest added to your Bb course, you should contact the service desk at servicedesk@chapman.edu.

Can my students see the course?
Your students will be able to see your course unless you choose to make the course unavailable. To make your course unavailable, follow the steps listed here: Changing course availability.

Can I add a TA to my Bb course?
You cannot enroll the TA yourself, but you can get the service desk to enroll a TA. Your teaching assistant will need to follow the steps listed here: TA FERPA training in order to get enrolled.

Can I add waitlisted students to my Bb course?
No, only enrolled students are added to Bb course sites.

Can I add an additional instructor to my Bb course?
Yes, you can add additional instructors by following these instructions.

I am getting an error message in Blackboard. What do I do?
Contact the ServiceDesk,
servicedesk@chapman.edu, to report the error and to get a solution for the error.

How do I upload documents to Blackboard?

Why am I having problems uploading large files to Blackboard?
Each course site has a size limit of 2G, which means that you cannot load more than this amount of files into a course. If you are close to your limit, you can delete extraneous files by following these instructions. Media files can be large and fill up the course size limit quickly.
