Assistant Director of Admission
Jamie's bio
Jamie is originally from the San Francisco Bay Area but has made Southern California her home since graduating in 2019 from Chapman University. Jamie graduated with degrees in both Psychology and Integrated Educational Studies.
During her years as an undergraduate student, she was heavily involved on campus and felt extremely connected to the campus community. This led to her passion for helping students find their true fit on a university campus. When she's not working with students, Jamie can be found reading a new book, watching a musical, or dog sitting all of her colleagues' pets!
Advice from Jamie
Be honest about what you want out of your college experience. Look at every aspect of what a college offers and determine if you can see yourself fitting into that space. We want to see who you are as a person, not who you think we want you to be. Be real and genuine throughout your application; it will really show through. This process can be overwhelming but remember to stay calm and enjoy time with people you love.
Favorite spot on campus
I love the Starbucks patio: It’s a great place to get some fresh air, study or socialize with your friends. As a student, I loved being able to check out Attallah Piazza and people-watch during the day. I found myself working with peers or even meeting with professors here as well.
Best admission memory
I have had the pleasure of watching students grow through all parts of their Chapman journey from helping them apply to Chapman, watching them thrive on campus, and getting to see them walk across the stage at graduation. I love being able to connect with students at the beginning of their journey and help show them the strength of the Chapman family and connection.
