Aaron's bio

Aaron is a Senior Transfer Counselor here at Chapman University. He is an Orange County native. He graduated from Beckman High School in Irvine and obtained his bachelor of arts in Liberal Arts, with a concentration in Environmental Studies, from Soka University of America in Aliso Viejo in 2014. He competed in both cross country and track and field all four years at Soka and still loves running.

College was a dream for both his family and him, and he's incredibly thankful that he was able to experience it. He loves getting to help students from all backgrounds pursue their college dreams.

Advice from Aaron

I always suggest students start their college search early. It’s never too soon to start thinking about college and imagining yourself on campus. For those transfer students out there, get in touch with your transfer resource center on your respective campuses and make time to map out your journey toward your four-year institution.

Favorite spot on campus

The Keck Center for Science and Engineering is a really great space to feel creative and inspired. I don’t think my thought process and problem-solving skills remotely mirror that of an engineer, but I do feel inspired to see the world in a different way when walking through.

Best admission memory

I’ve been fortunate enough to participate in some really great student orientation and admitted student events over the years and each one is very special. Getting to welcome and walk students into the next phase of their academic and professional journey is a very rewarding experience that makes for incredible memories.
