Jenny Gritton, Zumba

 Jenny Gritton

Jenny Gritton is a Senior Environmental Science & Policy with a minor in Psychology and University Honors. She loves staying active by visiting the gym, biking from place to place, taking spin, yoga, and Zumba classes, and doing Zumba in the living room in her free time.

Zumba is basically what you get if an aerobics class and a dance class had a child. It's an integration of Latin-inspired dance moves and cardio, basically tricking you into getting a killer workout for an hour by making you feel more like you're at a dance party. Its super fun, energizing, and welcoming for anyone of literally any skill level.

Sabrina Burkholder – Zumba

Sabrina Burkholder is a Sophomore Biology major with a Minor in Entrepreneurship! Zumba is a fun way to get your cardio in, which combines dance and fitness with Latin music for a great work out!

She’s involved with on-campus research and Greek life. Sabrina was inspired by previous instructors to pursue a Zumba instructor position along with her love for dancing!

KayKay Kindy, Yoga

Kaykay is a Junior Psychology major and Dance minor. She loves movement of all kind, whether that is doing yoga or dancing with Chapman's Hip Hop team, Floor 13. She really enjoys sharing her love of yoga with the Chapman Community!

"Yoga is a physical practice that connects various postures with the breath to create a movement meditation. Yoga is great for building strength throughout the body, improving flexibility, finding balance, and relaxing the mind. Most importantly, Yoga is for everyone! All levels are encouraged."

Pilates – Callie Loftus

Callie is a Junior International business major with a minor in law and social construct. She has been practicing pilates for over 7 years now and enjoys every second of it. Pilates is a system of exercises designed to improve physical strength, flexibility, posture, and enhance mental awareness. It gives you the opportunity to tone your body while getting a good stretch in. Anyone can do it and although it might seem hard at first there is always modifications for any level student.

Ashley Lynch

Young blonde woman smiling at camera

Ashley is a senior strategic and corporate communication major with minors in graphic design and public relations. She enjoys living an active lifestyle taking part in half marathons, triathlons, and bike races. She has a background in cross country, swim, track, Crossfit, and experience as a 9Rounds trainer.

Ashley teaches High Intensity Interval Training (HIIT) and Kickboxing at Chapman University. HIIT is a fun, quick, body weight workout routine that increases the heart rate at different intervals providing greater health benefits in a shorter period of time. The kickboxing class is similar to a boot camp where each student has time to practice on a bag and the class concludes with an abdominal routine. The Union fit classes are free to students with an ID card, preferably a water bottle, and a little motivation!
