Each fall Chapman University School of Pharmacy welcomes its incoming Pharm.D. students through the annual White Coat Ceremony. This rite of passage ceremony is to honor the pharmacy profession by presenting each student with a white coat, the symbol of clinical service and their dedication to patient care.

Class of 2023 White Coat Ceremony will take place virtually on Friday, September 11th at 6PM (PST).

This year, Chapman’s School of Pharmacy will honor Mr. Al Babbington, Founder and CEO of PrescribeWellness (retired) as the Gavin S. Herbert Sr. Award for Excellence in Pharmaceutical Science. This noble award is presented to recognize an individual who exemplifies the highest standard of professionalism, entrepreneurial leadership and compassion in the pharmaceutical sciences, values our school was founded on. Previous recipients include Gavin S. Herbert Sr., for whom the award is named, Dr. Scott Whitcup, James Mazzo, Dr. Catherine Turkel and Dr. Peter Vlasses.

Celebrate your connection to Chapman’s pharmacy students by supporting our CUSP White Coat Sponsorship campaign. Please consider a $100 gift to support our students and their professional development.
