Biography

Jung Won Edward Park entered the world of music through video games with a particular infatuation for the music of Nobuo Uematsu and Masashi Hamauzu. He has since then received a Bachelor's from California State University, Long Beach and a Master's at California Institute of the Arts in Music Composition. His classical compositions seek to combine traditional and contemporary techniques while retaining a harmonic language reminiscent of the video games from the 1990s and 2000's.

In addition to composition, Edward is also a clarinetist, vocalist, and creates electronic music. His electronic music ranges from live sound processing to sample-based music performances. As an audio engineer Edward has assisted musicians of a wide variety of styles with recording, mixing, and concert production.

Edward has also been a faculty member at Irvine Valley College since 2016 teaching music theory and composition.
