For certain courses, students are given the convenience and privilege of taking their midterm and final exams via laptops using ExamSoft. ExamSoft is the same software used by the California Bar Examiners.

ExamSoft Registration and Installation
Register and download this year’s version of ExamSoft (Examplify). Link to ExamSoft can be found here.
Take the Mock Exam to make sure you are familiar with using the program.
Make sure your laptop is in good working condition and meets the minimum system requirements for running ExamSoft.
If you plan to use ExamSoft, you must submit an ExamSoft User Agreement at the beginning of each academic year or the subsequent semester if you will be using the program for the first time.
There is no IT support in the exam room.
Troubleshooting
We use a single-sign-on and you must use your Chapman University login and password for ExamSoft. Do not attempt to change your password with ExamSoft.
Chrome and Firefox are the only compatible browsers for ExamSoft.
Clear the cache on your laptop computer. (This process is different for each laptop. You will need to clear your browsing history.)
Use Chrome Incognito.
Make sure you do not have pop-up blockers.

Exam Logistics
ExamSoft will be used for all graded and timed midterm and final examinations. Exam files will be created in a secure mode; you will not be able to access other documents on your computer.
ExamSoft’s timer starts to run from when you open your exam file and locks when the time is up.
You will not have Internet access during the exam; however, once the exam has been closed, you will be able to re-establish Internet connection and upload your exam file.
Blue books will be provided in the examination room for students who are unable to use ExamSoft. Bring your own pens.
ExamSoft or Bluebooks are the only options available for taking your exams. Your responses must be entered in ExamSoft or blue book. Professors do not grade notes made on scratch paper or on the exam questionnaire.
