RESEARCH INTERESTS

Dr. Piechota’s research interests center around the investigation of climate impacts on regional water resources, stormwater in urban environments, geographic information systems and water resources planning. Specific projects include droughts impacts in the southwest U.S., long range streamflow forecasting based on climate variability, and reconstruction of past droughts using paleoclimate data.
