Updates for Summer 2023:

Unfortunately, Dodge College will not be hosting Summer Film Academy in 2023. While we are sad to bring you this update, we are pleased to announce that throughout the summer we will be undergoing very exciting renovations to our facilities. Due to major construction, we will need to close our buildings for an extended period of time.

We appreciate your understanding and look forward to welcoming everyone to our newly renovated space in Fall 2023!

Summer Film Academy

Chapman University’s Dodge College of Film and Media Arts offers a two-week comprehensive, collaborative and creative high school film program during the summer.

For two weeks students are immersed in the world of film through class discussions, film screenings, guest speakers, and filmmaking in small groups. They live and breathe filmmaking around the clock while being taught by Dodge College faculty and mentored by current students and alumni. All of this will be shared with their peers as they work in groups to create short digital, narrative projects which are showcased to families virtually on the final night of the program.
