Chapman is your career connection for life, and we are here to help. Prior to starting your job search or networking, it is important to get your career 'toolkit' refined and prepared. Here are some key components that you should be considering as you get ready to land the job or internship of your dreams!

Where do I start?
That is a question that we will all ask ourselves at one point in our personal and professional lives. Whether you are a freshman or sophomore student still choosing your major, an upperclassmen or graduate student that needs to gain internship experience, a recent graduate preparing to enter the industry of your dreams, or an established alumnus that hasn't had the need to look for a job in decades - we are here to help you as your Career Connection for Life.

The first step is getting your 'career toolkit' ready. Let's refine your professional brand together. After your career toolkit is polished, and only once that is done, we can move onto the next steps: building a strategy, identifying target companies and positions, and interviewing.

If you learn best independently:
In the following pages, you will find resources to assist you in preparing your resume or CV, letters, business cards, online profiles and what to wear to an interview. Use these resources as a guide, but make sure you stop by during our drop-in hours to have a second set of eyes take a look at your work before you continue onto the next steps.

If you learn best in groups or classroom settings:
Sign up for one of Chapman's premier Career Preparation Certificate Programs. Programs range form 4 to 8 sessions a semester and are even customized to fit key community needs.

If you learn best one-on-one:
Schedule a personalized career coaching session with one of Chapman's career educators. They will build a strategy with you that fits your unique needs.
