Chapman University I Attallah College of Educational Studies

The Attallah College of Educational Studies at Chapman University strives to provide the skills and knowledge to develop socially responsible future educators, leaders, and community advocates.

Gifts to the Attallah College allow us to support a vast array of educational projects including community-based literacy programs, student scholarships, international travel opportunities for research, and education and civic engagement in our local community and beyond. Through these initiatives, we aim to cultivate our students into educational and community leaders.

Panther Experiential Philanthropy Project

Panther Experiential Philanthropy Project is a proactive, long-term solution to not only support local nonprofits financially and through volunteerism, but to create a pipeline of future nonprofit volunteers, donors, and employees with an embodied understanding of the grantmaking process.

Paulo Freire Democratic Project

The Paulo Freire Democratic Project (PFDP) strives to follow the educational philosophy put forth by Paulo Freire. To accomplish this mission, PFDP gathers together a number of constituencies from all levels of education to promote the full democratic, intellectual and critical development of students, teachers, administrators, parents and other community members.

Attallah College contains academic programs at the undergraduate through PhD levels in Leadership Development and Leadership Studies. Gifts made toward our leadership initiatives offer a unique opportunity for Chapman Students to enhance their understanding and practice of leadership, emphasizing not only preparation for work but education for life. 

Thompson Policy Institute on Disability and Autism

Donald N. Cardinal, Ph.D. Endowed Fellowship Fund

The Donald N. Cardinal, Ph.D. Endowed Fellowship will be awarded to one or more distinguished Ph.D. student(s) in the Donna Ford Attallah College of Educational Studies who is (are) studying to improve the lives of people with disabilities

Dr. Penny S. Bryan Arts Development Fund

Funds will be awarded to a Master of Arts in Leadership Development or Ph.D. in Education student for scholarship, learning, and practices that enhance the role of art in leadership, democracy, and/or social change.

Hayley Taitz Endowed Fellowship

The Hayley Taitz Endowed Fellowship supports graduate students in the Donna Ford Attallah College of Educational Studies’ school of psychology or a related program.

Julian Sadasivaiah Endowed Graduate Student Fellowship in Mental Health

Julian Sadasivaiah was a courageous and kind 5-year-old child diagnosed with aggressive brain cancer at just three years old. After two years of treatment and meaningful moments together, Julian passed away surrounded by his loving family. We hope that we can help other families support their child’s emotional well-being through this fund.
