What We Do

The Equal Opportunity Office (EOO) is absolutely committed to responding promptly and effectively to any allegation of prohibited conduct. Our highly trained staff members are dedicated to investigating complaints brought by members of the University community with the unwavering objective of investigating complaints of discrimination and harassment in a completely fair, impartial, and appropriate manner.

We take our commitment incredibly seriously to providing an environment that is entirely free from any form of harassment and discrimination based on characteristics such as race, color, religion, sex, gender identity, gender expression, pregnancy, national origin, ancestry, citizenship status, age, marital status, physical disability, mental disability, medical condition, sexual orientation, military or veteran status, genetic information, or any other characteristic protected by applicable state or federal law. We ensure that all members of the University community are treated with absolute dignity and respect at all times. As such, the University strictly and unequivocally prohibits all forms of harassment and discrimination among University students, faculty, staff, and administration.

How We Do It

We take a proactive approach to investigating all complaints of harassment, discrimination, or Title IX violations involving a University employee. Our team promptly responds to all complaints filed within the EOO, provides comprehensive educational programs to University faculty and staff aimed at preventing and responding to harassment and discrimination, and collaborates on critical campus policy reviews.

At the EOO, we uphold a firm commitment to reviewing all allegations in a confidential, sensitive, and expeditious manner. It is the unequivocal duty of every member of the University community to ensure compliance with University policy by immediately reporting any allegations of prohibited conduct to the Director of Equal Opportunity and Investigations or to an individual identified as a Title IX Coordinator or member of the University community.

Policies We Oversee

As the designated office responsible for addressing incidents of discrimination and harassment, we serve as the initial contact point for the resolution and/or investigation of all complaints regarding such conduct, as outlined in the University's official policies on:
