»Communication Track

Please refer to the LMS invitation for the campus location.

Workshops begin promptly at their scheduled time. Out of respect for your fellow learners, we ask that you arrive early to get situated and ready to participate by the start of the workshop.

Bring only the essentials and your cell phone to complete the workshop assessment. We will provide all other needed materials.

Due to the highly interactive nature of the workshop, we ask that you set aside time to attend the entire workshop to get credit. 

As a courtesy to others, please unenroll in the workshop to open the seat for someone who may be on the waitlist.  If you need assistance with unenrolling, please refer to the Enroll/Unenroll Tutorial link. Participants who enroll in Crucial Conversations and are a no-show on the day of will incur a cost to their department.

You will be placed on a waiting list in the learning management system and will be automatically enrolled in the workshop if a seat opens for the date you selected.  You will also receive an email confirmation, and an Outlook calendar invite to the workshop. 

We recommend that you complete the series within one year; however, there is no time constraint.  You will receive a certificate of achievement once all workshops are completed.

The Series is open to supervisors of staff and supervisors of administrators beginning in fall 2024. 

Due to the highly interactive nature of the workshops, a minimum of 10 participants is required.  If the minimum isn’t reached, the workshop will be canceled, and registrants will be notified.  You can then register for the same workshop on another available date.

We strongly encourage you to complete the entire Communication Track, as it is an excellent opportunity to develop your professional skills, network with other employees on campus, and help promote effective, positive, and inclusive conversations.

You will use LMS365 to enroll/unenroll in the workshops. It is part of the Microsoft 365 suite.
