Where will the workshops be located?

Please refer to the LMS invitation for the campus location.

What time do I need to arrive at the workshop?

Workshops begin promptly at their scheduled time. Out of respect for your fellow learners, we ask that you arrive early to get situated and ready to participate by the start of the workshop.

What do I need to bring to the workshops?

Bring only the essentials and your cell phone to complete the workshop assessment. We will provide all materials needed.

Is it okay to attend part of the workshop, or must I stay for the entire session?

Due to the highly interactive nature of the workshop, we ask that you set aside time to attend the entire workshop to get credit.

What do I need to do if I cannot attend the workshop I registered for?

As a courtesy to others, please unenroll in the workshop to open the seat for someone who may be on the waitlist.  If you need assistance with unenrolling, please refer to the Enroll/Unenroll Tutorial link.

I want to register for a workshop that is already full. What can I do?

You will be placed on a waiting list in the learning management system and will be automatically enrolled in the workshop if a seat opens for the date you selected.  You will also receive an email confirmation and an Outlook calendar invite to the workshop.

How much time do I get to complete the workshops in the series?

We recommend that you complete the series within one year; however, there is no time constraint. You will receive a certificate of achievement once all workshops are completed.

Who is eligible to participate in the Supervisor Development Series?

The series is open to supervisors of staff and supervisors of administrators. Emerging supervisors can participate in the Supervisor Development Series. This offer is ideal for informal supervisors of staff, supervisors of student employees, and those in a development pipeline to become supervisors. Supervisors must recommend their direct report, please contact us at leadershipdevelopment@chapman.edu for more details.

Is there a minimum number of participants required to have the workshop?

Due to the highly interactive nature of the workshops, a minimum of 10 participants is required. If the minimum isn’t reached, the workshop will be canceled, and registrants will be notified.  You can then register for the same workshop on another available date.

Do I have to commit to completing all workshops?

We strongly encourage you to complete the entire track, as it is an excellent opportunity to develop your professional skills, network with other employees on campus, and help promote effective, positive, and inclusive conversations.

What software will I use to enroll/unenroll in the workshops?

You will use LEARN365 to enroll/unenroll in the workshops. It is part of the Microsoft 365 suite.
