Theater Production and Entertainment Safety
Programs
The purpose of theater and arts safety is to ensure the well-being of everyone involved in the production and performance of live theater, film, dance, and other artistic events. This encompasses the safety of actors, crew, staff, and audiences from potential hazards that could arise in the creation, setup, and execution of performances. Given the physical demands, technical equipment, and sometimes high-risk environments involved in live performances, safety protocols are crucial to prevent accidents, injuries, and health risks.

- Recommend health and safety strategies, policies, and programs to EH&S and the Chapman University General Campus Safety Committee.
- Serve as a contact for students, faculty, and staff to help respond to and address health and safety concerns.
- Help EH&S in motivating the production-oriented arts communities on campus to create and maintain safe and healthful environments.
