Preview Day is a campus-wide event designed to give admitted first-year and transfer students, as well as their family, an in-depth look at the Chapman University community:

  • Get to know faculty and fellow students.
  • Meet other admitted students and families.
  • Tour the campus and residence halls.
  • Learn more about student opportunities and campus life.

Check-in will begin at 8:15 a.m. and programming will begin at 9:15 a.m. The event will conclude by 2:30 p.m.

Registration will close at 7 p.m. the evening before the event. After such time, please email visit@chapman.edu with your full name and number of guests (not including the student) if you plan to join us a Preview Day. 

Schedule of Events

A few days before the event, registrants will be sent a link to download the Chapman Visitors app on their phone. The app will allows guests to view the full program and sign up for sessions.

Preview Day is designed with flexibility in mind. You can attend any session offered throughout the day (and sessions will repeat) as well as join a tour, visit the involvement fair or take a lunch break whenever you like. Offerings include:

  • Academic presentations.
  • Information sessions on student and academic life.
  • The chance to meet current students.
  • Campus and Residence Hall tours.
  • Financial Aid presentation to better understand your award and payment options.

The following schedule is tentative and subject to change. A final, more detailed schedule will be emailed to registrants prior to the event.

Student Services & Involvement Fair

  • Continental breakfast and small lunch plates will be served via grab-and-go stations throughout the day.
  • At 4 p.m. there is a free Jazzy Steam concert at the on-campus Musco Center. Registration is required.

Tour Offerings

  • Campus Tours: These student-led tours will be approximately 30-minutes long and showcase the main campus.
  • Residence Hall Tours: Explore the residence life area and first-year housing.

Information Booths

  • Counselor Info Booth: Our Admission Team will answer questions and help with any next steps.
  • Financial Aid Booth: Undergrauate Financial Aid will be on hand to schedule upcoming appointments, collect documents and answer questions.

  • Indoor masking is strongly recommended but not required, regardless of vaccination status.
  • Do not visit if you are experiencing any symptoms associated with COVID-19, test positive for COVID-19 or have any known contact with someone who tested positive for COVID-19 in the last 24 hours.
