Dance Minor

» Dance Minor

The Dance Minor program is for non-dance majors interested in adding a dance component to their education.

To be accepted as a dance minor, you must complete the following steps:

  1. Register and take at least one (1) dance technique class within the Department of Dance before or during the spring semester.
  2. Apply and audition in the spring of your freshman or sophomore year. This information will be posted in the dance department and with instructors of non-majors dance classes in the spring semester.
  3. Wait for confirmation from the department. They will let you know whether you have been accepted into the program.
  4. If you have additional questions, contact the dance minor faculty advisor, Jennifer Backhaus, at backhaus@chapman.edu
