» Vocal Music Camp for High School Singers

Under the direction of Keith Hancock, 2017 winner of the GRAMMY^® Music Educator of the Year, Chapman University’s week-long Vocal Music Camp features mixed choir, treble choir and lower-voice choir as well as small ensembles in which students explore making music with new friends. Open to all students entering grades 9–12, our camp faculty and instructors are committed to providing students with an exciting, positive and rewarding musical experience.

Our 2019 Vocal Music Camp featured students from over 40 junior and high schools including Ball, BASIS Mesa, Brethren Christian, Canyon, Capistrano Valley Christian, Carlmont, Carondelet, Cherry Creek, Contra Costa School of Performing Arts, Crescenta Valley, Encore, Foothill, Green Valley, Irvine, J Serra Catholic School, Las Flores, Linfield Christian, Los Alamitos, Los Altos, Los Angeles Center for Enriched Studies, Marina, Mater Dei, Millikan, Mission Viejo, Mohave, Monte Vista, Newhart, Oak Park, Orange County School of the Arts, Orange, Palisades Charter, Rubidoux, Santa Rosa, St. Francis, Stoneybrooke Christian School, Sunny Hills, Tesoro, Torrey Pines, Tustin, Villa Park, and Yorba Linda.

Choose Your Electives

Campers also have an opportunity to participate in various elective classes throughout the week—past examples include Sight Singing, Swing Dance, Music Technology, Film Music, Audition Preparation and Acting for Singers.

Throughout the week, you will participate in mixed choir, treble, or lower-voice choir rehearsals as well as small ensembles—make music with new friends!

Musco Center for the Arts

Designed by acclaimed architects Pfeiffer Partners, with acoustics by world-renowned Yasuhisa Toyota of Nagata Acoustics, Musco Center boasts an intimate seating chamber with 1,044 seats on three levels. Campers perform a grand finale concert in this venue.

Perform in Musco Center for the Arts

Musco Center for the Arts provides students with a state-of-the-art venue to help foster their learning in the arts. Campers perform their final concert in Musco Center on the final day of the camp (free admission).
