My name is Dominique Boubion. I was raised in Orange County and attended the University of California, Irvine, where I majored in Literary Journalism. I am a 2L at Chapman University, Fowler School of Law and I aspire to pursue a career in Environmental Justice. I look forward to the learning opportunities available through the Environmental, Land Use and Real Estate Law emphasis program. I am currently the Co-Chair for the Diversity Social Justice Forum and the Vice President for the National Lawyers Guild at Chapman. I love conversations about food and books—that is an open invitation to tell me your favorites!

I’m Candace Carpenter. I was born in Orange, CA and grew up in Tustin, CA. I attended Cal State University, Fullerton, where I majored in Business Administration with an emphasis in Human Resources. I am currently a 2L at Chapman University Dale E. Fowler School of Law. This past summer I worked at the Orange County District Attorney’s Office for the Special Prosecutions Unit. This year, I am working on campus as an Academic Fellow for Professor Kim’s Torts class, a Student Ambassador, and Secretary of the Student Bar Association. My hobbies include playing guitar, watching reality tv, and keeping up with Reese Witherspoon’s book club. After I take the California Bar Exam, I plan on hiking from Mexico to Canada on the Pacific Crest Trail.

I’m Alexis Fasig. I grew up in Reading, Pennsylvania and then moved to New Jersey to attend Rutgers University, where I majored in Political Science with a minor in Philosophy. Currently as a 2L at Chapman University, Fowler School of Law, I am a member of Law Review, the Chapman Entertainment and Sports Law Society, and the Chapman Women Lawyers Association. I also serve as an academic fellow for Legal Research and Writing and work as a Student Ambassador. I am pursuing an emphasis in Business Law with the hopes of becoming a transactional corporate attorney upon graduating. In my free time, I enjoy fashion and interior designing, hiking, and any other outdoor activity that allows me to enjoy the California sunshine!

My name is Haley Fedden and was born and raised in Dana Point, CA. I attended Chapman University for my undergraduate degrees where I was captain of the Women's Soccer Team and double majored in Business Administration with an emphasis in Finance and Political Science. Currently, I am a 2L at Chapman University, Fowler School of Law and an Academic Fellow for Contracts 1 and 2. Also, I am a law clerk at a law firm in Irvine that represents sexual abuse victims in civil litigation. I love the ocean, camping, running, and all that Southern California has to offer. I have incredible pride for Chapman University and the community that it cultivates!

I'm Jillian Friess. I was raised in San Juan Capistrano, CA, which is in Southern Orange County. I attended UC Berkeley where I majored in history and political science. Now back in Orange County, I am a 2L at Chapman University, Fowler School of Law, where I am focusing on Real Estate Law. I currently am a member of the Mock Trial Competition Team, the Alternative Dispute Resolution Team, Moot Court Competition Team, and Law Review. This summer I will be working again as a Summer Associate at a law firm in Irvine in their Eminent Domain Practice Group. In my free time, I love spending time working out and being outside, whether it is near the ocean or hiking in the hills.

Hi, my name is Kimia Hashemian. I was born in Tehran, Iran but grew up in Cypress, CA and attended UCSB, where I majored in Sociology. I am currently a 2L at Chapman University, Fowler School of Law. This summer I will be working as a Summer Associate at Everett Dorey. I enjoy helping others find the tools they need to solve their problems, and I cannot wait to meet the new Chapman Law students. I'm Karly Munoz. I was raised in Southern California and attended Rider University in New Jersey, where I majored in English Literature with a minor in Film. Currently a 2L at Chapman University, I am looking to emphasize in Entertainment Law. I currently work at a criminal defense firm in Santa Ana as a law clerk and am part of the Entertainment and Sports Law Society. I have a passion for film and working with children. In my free time, I enjoy reading, making enchiladas, and showing off pictures of my dog.

I'm Bradford Oduguwa. I was raised in Anaheim, CA and attended UCSB, where I majored in Political Science and also received a History Minor. I am currently a 2L at the Dale E. Fowler School of Law where I want to emphasize in the Advocacy and Dispute Resolution Program. Currently, I am the Symposium Chair for Diversity and Social Justice Forum, Secretary for the Black Law Students Association, Treasurer for the National Lawyers Guild. I interned with the Riverside District Attorney’s office and I will be returning next summer. In the fall, I’ll be with the Consumer Protections division of the Orange County District Attorney’s office. I have a passion for helping others and love to make people feel comfortable in new environments. In my free time I enjoy weightlifting, audiobooks, and fine wines.

My name is Connor Smith, I was raised in Richland, WA and left to study Biology at Carroll College, a small school in Helena, MT. There I fell in love with the mountains, the rivers, and my wife, Tasha. I am currently a 2L at Chapman University, Fowler School of Law, and I expect to emphasize in Family Law, specifically Children's Law. I also have a interest in Labor and Administrative Law. I am the founding president of the National Lawyers Guild at Chapman, and a volunteer with CASA of Orange County. Last summer I worked with the Children's Law Center of LA representing children in dependency proceedings. I am currently a law clerk at Higbee and Associates, a national law firm. In the evenings and on my "days off", you can find me spending time with my wife and our dog and reading for fun!

I'm Holly Soliman. I grew up in Paradise Valley, Arizona, and then attended USC, where I double-majored in Psychology and Religion with a concentration in Pre-Medical Studies. I decided to continue my education and earned my Masters in Global Medicine from USC’s Keck School of Medicine. Currently a 2L at Chapman University, I am hoping to pursue a career in civil litigation, particularly Medical Malpractice defense. I currently serve as an officer for the Health Law Society, am a member of the Chapman Women’s Lawyer Association, am on the Moot Court team, serve on the Office of Student Assistance for the Honor Council, and am active in a non-profit organization called AOET, where I have traveled to Uganda in Africa twice to work with children and communities in health and education. I am also a law clerk at a civil litigation firm in Irvine at Madison Law, APC. In my spare time, I like to practice hot yoga, spoil my Pembroke Welsh Corgi, Lola, and travel with my husband, every chance I get!

Currently, I am a second year at Chapman University, Fowler School of Law, and I am looking to work in data privacy. In addition, I am on the Moot Court, Mock Trial and Alternative Dispute Resolution Boards for the law school. Also, I currently serve on my city’s Community Services Commission where I have an opportunity to do what I love most, helping others! In fact, when I am not studying, I enjoy spending time with the friends I have made here at Fowler, scuba diving, and playing chess.

I'm Jessica Welch. I grew up nearby in Yorba Linda. I went up to the University of California, Santa Barbara for undergrad, where I double majored in Political Science and Film and Media Studies and was a member of the Division I Women's Volleyball Team. After I earned my degree, I worked in the Entertainment industry at an independent production company and a studio. This past summer I was able to intern at the US Attorney’s Office in the Southern District of California, and now I am looking forward to starting my 2L year. Here at Chapman, I am a member of the Entertainment and Sports Law Society and the Chapman Women Lawyers Association. In my free time I enjoy outdoor activities, travel, and sports.

I'm Eric Ybarra. I am from Modesto, CA, and attended Penn State. I majored in Criminology with an emphasis in financial crimes. I am currently a 2L at Chapman University, Fowler School of Law, and hope to work towards working in Federal Regulation. I currently serve as a Student Ambassador for the law school and I have served as a law clerk for the Orange County District Attorney in the Major Financial Fraud Unit, and for Michael L. Fell, a private practice attorney. I have a passion for the history of the schools I attend and enjoy helping to expand the great Chapman family. In my free time, I enjoy watching sports, cooking, and playing music.

I'm Hannah Miller. I was born and raised here in Orange County and SoCal is my home. I attended Loyola Marymount University where I majored in Business Marketing and minored in Business Law. I am currently in my third year of the joint JD/MBA program here at Fowler School of Law. I currently serve as a Student Ambassador for the law school, am a member of the IP Society, and currently work at a technology company in Irvine. I love interacting with people and getting to know their story. In my free time, I enjoy playing with my two white labs, watching hockey (go Ducks!), and playing in a co-ed soccer league with other Chapman Law Students.

My name is Jamil Shaaban. I grew up in Palmdale California and attended California State University Northridge where I obtained my degree in Business Law. Currently, I am in my third year of the JD/MBA program at Chapman University, Dale E. Fowler School of Law and the George L. Argyros School of Business and Economics. I am pursuing a career in the transactional side of law, including real estate, entertainment, sports, and corporate in house counsel. I am also a Student Ambassador and an ADR competition team member. Outside of the scholarly setting, I am an extremely easygoing and fun person. I love to be active, race motocross, play sports, and generally be outdoors.

I currently serve as a student ambassador, member of all three competition boards, and a litigation law clerk focusing on employment and insurance defense at Tressler LLP. I have a passion for human interaction and dispute resolution in all forms. In my free time, I enjoy spending time outdoors hiking or at the beach, spending time with my boyfriend and friends, trying new restaurants, traveling and writing creatively.

I am a 3L at Chapman University Fowler School of Law. Currently, I serve as the President of the Student Bar Association, the Managing Editor of the Chapman Law Review, a student ambassador, and a member of the Moot Court, Mock Trial, and Alternative Dispute Resolution competition boards. As a 2L, I worked as a judicial extern at the California Court of Appeal and served as an academic fellow for the legal research and writing course. I hope to pursue a career in civil litigation. In my free time, I love to hang out with my little sister, work out, participate in food eating competitions, and enjoy Southern California's beautiful beaches.

I'm Pablo Calzada Munoz. I was born in Mexico City, Mexico, but was raised in Waterford, Michigan. I attended Oakland University, where I double majored in Acting and Economics. Currently a 3L at Chapman University, Fowler School of Law, I am looking to emphasize in Entertainment Law. I currently serve as a Student Ambassador for the law school, am involved with the Christian Legal Society and the Entertainment Law Society, and help part-time for our family-owned franchise business Dolly's Pizza back in Michigan. I love encouraging people to pursue their dreams, especially other Hispanics that are looking to get into the legal profession, as Hispanics are currently only 4% of the legal population. In my free time, I like to work out, go on hikes, and travel around the world!

I am also currently working at a business litigation/estate planning firm in Anaheim. I am the Senior Symposium Editor for Chapman Law Review for the 2018-2019 school year, a member of Moot Court, and a member of Mock Trial. In my spare time I enjoy riding horses, going to concerts, and spending time with my friends, family, and dogs.

I am currently the President of the Mock Trial Board, the Competitions Chair of the Moot Court Board, and am an Academic Fellow for Legal Analysis, Writing, and Research. In my free time, I enjoy watching theater, camping, and cooking new recipes of my favorite foods (tacos and pie).

I'm David DeBerry. I am from Detroit, Michigan and attended Michigan State University for undergrad (Go Green!), where I majored in Humanities-Prelaw and minored in Philosophy and the Law. I am currently a 3L at Chapman Law and am pursuing a career in entertainment and sports law. I am currently an ambassador for the law school and work as a law clerk at Valiant Law, a small employment law firm in Ontario, CA. I enjoy meeting new people and talking about anything under the sun. If someone comes to me for help, I will normally go out of my way to help them, whether I know them well or not. In my free time, I like to try new breweries in the area, attend Angel games, work out, and go to the beach.

I'm Flor Gonzalez. I was born in Chihuahua, Mexico and was raised in Lake Forest, California. I attended the UCLA where I double majored in Political Science and International Development Studies, minoring in Latin American Studies. I am a 3L student, serving as the current President of the Public Interest Law Foundation (PILF) and as the Secretary/Treasurer for the Diversity and Social Justice Forum at Chapman. I have previously interned at a labor and employment law firm, interned at Esperanza Immigrant Rights Project, a non-profit in Los Angeles, and at the Orange County District Attorney’s Office. I plan to pursue a career in Criminal Law. Additionally, I have been part of various clinics at the law school, including the Bette and Wylie Aitken Family Protection Clinic, where I assisted survivors of domestic violence obtain protective orders in family court, and now taking part of the Elder Law Clinic. I believe access to legal representation is key in people’s lives. In my spare time I love being involved and giving back to the community, as well as relaxing by watching foreign films and comedy shows. I enjoy hiking and going to the beach.

I was raised in Northwest Arkansas and attended Pepperdine University, where I majored in Psychology and earned a certificate in Dispute Resolution. Before coming to law school, I obtained my Masters in Clinical Psychology and worked as a therapist at a residential treatment center for adolescents. I currently serve as Editor-in-Chief of Chapman Law Review and a Student Ambassador. During my law school career I have held positions as a judicial extern at the California Court of Appeal, 4th District, Division3, a summer law clerk at Children's Law Center and Alliance for Children's Rights. I am pursuing a career in dependency law as minor's counsel and am passionate about making a difference in underserved communities. In my free time I love camping with my friends, doing sushi and movie nights with my family, and I take my book club membership very seriously.
