Hi there, my name is Amanda Fossati. I’m originally from Anthem, Arizona before I went on to the University of Oregon, where I was a cheerleader - Sco Ducks. I earned my undergraduate degrees in Romance Languages and Political Science, with a Legal Studies minor. I am currently a 2L here at Chapman, a Student Ambassador, on Law Review, on the Moot Court Board, an Academic Fellow, and the Vice President of the International Law Society. My emphasis is in International Law. Over the summer, I studied International Criminal Law in Nuremberg, Germany. I enjoy wine tasting in my free time, spending time with friends, and napping. My name is Emmy Hoskins and I was born and raised in Trabuco Canyon, California. I majored in Psychology with a minor in Law, Justice, and Social Control at Chapman University. I also played on the Chapman University Women’s Soccer team, serving as team captain in my senior season. Before attending law school, I was able to extern for a judge at the Superior Court in Orange County. This past summer, I worked for a civil litigation firm in Irvine that represents sexual abuse victims. In my 2L year, I will be serving as a member of the Alternative Dispute Resolution Team, a Law Review Staff Editor, and an academic fellow for a first year legal writing and research course. In my free time, I love spending time with friends, playing with my dog, and traveling.

Hi, I'm Silgai Mohmand. I was born and raised in Orange County, CA. I earned my Bachelor's Degree from Economics at UC Irvine. I am currently a 2L at Chapman University, Dale E. Fowler School of Law. I am an Academic Fellow for Criminal Law, a student ambassador and a member of Public Interest Legal Foundation. This past summer, I had the amazing opportunity to work in the Los Angeles District Attorney's Office as well as at Desai Law Group. I also teach and mentor sixth graders on Sundays. Some of my hobbies include: photography, coordinating events for communities, meeting new people and trying new things, and checking out OC/LA's coolest new spots.

I’m Darlene Morris, and I was born and raised in Oxnard, CA. I went to UC Santa Barbara for my undergraduate degrees, where I double majored in Communication and Psychology. I am currently a 2L at Chapman Law, a Student Ambassador, on Law Review, the Secretary of the Real Estate Law Society, and on the ADR Competition Team. I will also be an Academic Fellow for Property Law in the Spring, and I’m in the process of co-founding the Corporate Law Society at the law school. This past summer, I interned with the legal department of the U.S. Small Business Administration and took a couple extra classes to get my real estate license. In my free time, I enjoy camping, boating, and beach activities with friends and family.

Hi, my name is Marissa Rodriguez. I was born and raised in Stockton, CA. I went to Cal State Fullerton for my undergraduate degree, where I majored in English and held a minor in Law, Politics, and Society. While at Cal State Fullerton, I managed a non-profit organization known as the College Legal Clinic, Inc. that offered free legal referral services to students and low-income residents in Orange County. Together with the Titan Dreamers Association, we were able to create the first series of Immigration Clinics at Cal State Fullerton. I am a first generation college student, as well as a first generation law student. I am currently a 2L at Chapman Law, a Student Ambassador, the President of the Children’s and Family Law Society, the Secretary of the Employment Law Society, and a member of the Immigration Law Society. This past summer, I worked as a law clerk at Orange Coast Family Law in Laguna Niguel and I am pursuing a career in Family Law. I am currently a legal extern for the Law Office of Michael L. Fell in Irvine. I enjoy camping, hanging out with friends, and binge-watching just about any crime documentary/series on Hulu and Netflix.

Hello, it’s me. My name is Michael Romero and I was born and raised in Orange County. I attended UC Irvine for my undergraduate degrees. I double majored in Criminology and Political Science, and I was founder/president of the UC Irvine Powerlifting Team. I am a member of the Moot Court Team, Alternative Dispute Resolution Team, Student Bar Association, and I am a Student Ambassador. I am also in the process of starting a Corporate Law Society here at Chapman. My emphasis are in both Business and Tax Law. This past summer I interned at the United States Securities and Exchange Commission. I come from a finance background, but I am eager to learn as much as possible in other areas. I enjoying making new friends, learning from others, and teaching others everything I know. I am a constantly injured powerlifter, so when I cannot lift weights I like to spend my free time cooking, trying to learn guitar, playing piano, and learning random new skills and facts that no one finds impressive.

Hi, my name is Tim Schuler. I was born and raised in Southern California and attended Louisiana Tech University, where I majored in Economics. I am currently a 2L at Chapman University and look forward to a career in civil litigation. This past summer, I worked as a law clerk at a firm that primarily does medical malpractice defense. I currently am a member of the Moot Court Competition Team as well as the treasurer for our Student Bar Association. In my free time, I enjoy snowboarding, sailing, and spending time with my dog, Brandy.

My name is Haley Aanestad and was born and raised in Dana Point, CA. I attended Chapman University for my undergraduate degrees where I was captain of the Women's Soccer Team and double majored in Business Administration with an emphasis in Finance and Political Science. Currently, I am a 3L at Chapman University, Fowler School of Law and an Academic Fellow for Federal Income Tax. I am a member of the Moot Court Competition Board and the Christian Legal Society. Off campus, I work as a law clerk at a law firm in Irvine that represents victims of sexual abuse in civil litigation. I love the ocean, camping, running, and all that Southern California has to offer. I have incredible pride for Chapman University and the community that it cultivates!

I’m Candace Carpenter. I was born in Orange, CA and grew up in Tustin, CA. I attended Cal State University, Fullerton, where I majored in Business Administration with an emphasis in Human Resources. I am currently a 3L at Chapman University Dale E. Fowler School of Law. This past summer I worked at Thales, an aerospace company, in their Legal and Contracts department. This year I have the honor of serving as the President of the Student Bar Association which allows me to work closely with faculty, staff, and administration. My hobbies include playing guitar, watching reality tv, and keeping up with Reese Witherspoon’s book club. After I take the California Bar Exam, I plan on hiking from Mexico to Canada on the Pacific Crest Trail.

Hi, my name is Matt Falkenstein. I was born and raised in Media, Pennsylvania, just outside of Philadelphia. I did my undergraduate studies at Drexel University in downtown Philly, where I majored in Music Industry with a concentration in Business and a minor in Business Administration. I am a current 3L at the Fowler School of Law, where I also serve as the Vice President of the Student Bar Association. I am also a member of the Entertainment & Sports Law Society. I am hoping to pursue a career in the Music Industry after graduation, and I have thoroughly enjoyed the other incredible opportunities in civil litigation I’ve gained while at Fowler. In my free time, I enjoy exercising, spending time at the beach, exploring Southern California, and relentlessly supporting the Philadelphia Eagles and 76ers.

I’m Alexis Fasig. I grew up in Reading, Pennsylvania and then moved to New Jersey to attend Rutgers University, where I majored in Political Science with a minor in Philosophy. Currently as a 3L at Chapman University, Fowler School of Law, I am the managing editor of Law Review, a member of the Chapman Entertainment and Sports Law Society, and a member of the Chapman Women Lawyers Association. I also serve as an academic fellow for Legal Research and Writing and work as a Student Ambassador. I am pursuing an emphasis in Business Law and will be starting as an attorney at the international corporate law firm of O'Melveny and Myers upon graduating. In my free time, I enjoy fashion and interior designing, hiking, and any other outdoor activity that allows me to enjoy the California sunshine!

I'm Jillian Friess. I was raised in San Juan Capistrano, CA, which is in Southern Orange County. I attended UC Berkeley where I majored in history and political science. Now back in Orange County, I am a 3L at Chapman University, Fowler School of Law, where I am focusing on Real Estate Law. I currently am a member of the Mock Trial Competition Team, the Alternative Dispute Resolution Team, Moot Court Competition Team, and the Editor-in-Chief for Chapman Law Review. Post-bar, I will be working at a law firm in Irvine in their Eminent Domain Practice Group. In my free time, I love spending time working out and being outside, whether it is near the ocean or hiking in the hills.

Hi, my name is Kimia Hashemian. I was born in Tehran, Iran but grew up in Cypress, CA and attended UCSB, where I majored in Sociology. I am currently a 3L at Chapman University, Fowler School of Law and an Academic Fellow for Evidence. This past summer I worked as a Summer Associate at a civil litigation firm in Irvine. I enjoy helping others find the tools they need to solve their problems, and I cannot wait to meet the new Chapman Law students. Outside of law school, I spend most of my time with my Boston Terrier, Lizzie.

I'm Karly Munoz. I was raised in Southern California and attended Rider University in New Jersey, where I majored in English Literature with a minor in Film. Currently a 2L at Chapman University, I am looking to emphasize in Entertainment Law. I currently work at a criminal defense firm in Santa Ana as a law clerk and am part of the Entertainment and Sports Law Society. I have a passion for film and working with children. In my free time, I enjoy reading, making enchiladas, and showing off pictures of my dog.

I'm Bradford Oduguwa. I was raised in Anaheim, CA and attended UCSB, where I majored in Political Science and also received a History Minor. I am currently a 2L at the Dale E. Fowler School of Law where I want to emphasize in the Advocacy and Dispute Resolution Program. Currently, I am the Symposium Chair for Diversity and Social Justice Forum, Secretary for the Black Law Students Association, Treasurer for the National Lawyers Guild. I interned with the Riverside District Attorney’s office and I will be returning next summer. In the fall, I’ll be with the Consumer Protections division of the Orange County District Attorney’s office. I have a passion for helping others and love to make people feel comfortable in new environments. In my free time I enjoy weightlifting, audiobooks, and fine wines.

Hi! I’m Bailee Pelham. I was born and raised in Southern California, and I attended Scripps College in Claremont for my undergraduate degree. I graduated after 3 years, majoring in Psychology. I took a gap year before I started law school here at Chapman. I am currently a 3L, and I am interested in both Criminal Law and Entertainment Law. In addition to being a Student Ambassador, I am currently the Entertainment and Sports Law Society’s Media Coordinator and an Academic Fellow for Corporations. I also am a research assistant for Professor Lawrence Rosenthal. I have worked as a law clerk with the Orange County District Attorney’s Office since May of 2018. During my time there, I have been a part of both the Felony Panel Unit and the Science and Technology Unit, the latter of which has allowed me to argue preliminary hearings, motions, and participate in filing analysis. In my free time, I love reading, line dancing, going to country music concerts, participating in trivia nights with my Chapman Law friends, and taking my dog, Reid (Fun fact: He’s named after Spencer Reid from Criminal Minds!), to the beach.

I'm Holly Soliman. I grew up in Paradise Valley, Arizona, and then attended USC, where I double-majored in Psychology and Religion with a concentration in Pre-Medical Studies. I decided to continue my education and earned my Masters in Global Medicine from USC’s Keck School of Medicine. Currently a 3L at Chapman University, I am hoping to pursue a career in civil litigation, particularly medical malpractice or general employment defense. I currently serve as President for the Health Law Society, am a member of the Chapman Women Lawyers Association, am on the Moot Court Board and serve as Vice President, serve on the Office of the Law School Advocate for the Honor Council, am an academic fellow for Constitutional Law and Business Associations, a Student Representative for the Student Bar Association, and am active in a non-profit organization outside of school called AOET, where I have traveled to Uganda in Africa twice to work with children and communities in health and education. I am also currently a law clerk at a civil litigation firm in Orange at Lynberg & Watkins, APC, after successfully completing their Summer Associate program this past summer. In my spare time, I like to practice hot yoga, run, spoil my Pembroke Welsh Corgi, Lola, and travel with my husband, every chance I get!

My name is Grant Voss. I grew up in Mission Viejo, CA and attended Cal State Fullerton, where I majored in Business Administration. Currently, I am a third-year at Chapman University, Fowler School of Law, and the data protection legal field interests me the most. In addition, I am on the Moot Court, Mock Trial and Alternative Dispute Resolution Boards for the law school. Also, I currently serve on my city’s Community Services Commission where I have an opportunity to do what I love most, helping others! In fact, when I am not studying, I enjoy spending time with the friends I have made here at Fowler, scuba diving, and playing chess.

I'm Jessica Welch. I grew up nearby in Yorba Linda. I went up to the University of California, Santa Barbara for undergrad, where I double majored in Political Science and Film and Media Studies and was a member of the Division I Women's Volleyball Team. After I earned my degree, I worked in the Entertainment industry at an independent production company and a studio. This past summer I was able to intern at the US Attorney’s Office in the Southern District of California, and now I am looking forward to starting my 2L year. Here at Chapman, I am a member of the Entertainment and Sports Law Society and the Chapman Women Lawyers Association. In my free time I enjoy outdoor activities, travel, and sports.

I'm Eric Ybarra. I am from Modesto, CA, and attended Penn State. I majored in Criminology with an emphasis in financial crimes. I am currently a 2L at Chapman University, Fowler School of Law, and hope to work towards working in Federal Regulation. I currently serve as a Student Ambassador for the law school and I have served as a law clerk for the Orange County District Attorney in the Major Financial Fraud Unit, and for Michael L. Fell, a private practice attorney. I have a passion for the history of the schools I attend and enjoy helping to expand the great Chapman family. In my free time, I enjoy watching sports, cooking, and playing music.

I'm Hannah Miller. I was born and raised here in Orange County and SoCal is my home. I attended Loyola Marymount University where I majored in Business Marketing and minored in Business Law. I am in my last year of the JD/MBA program and just graduated with my MBA in May! I currently serve as a Student Ambassador for the law school, am a member of the IP Society, and currently work at a medical device company in Irvine focusing on Privacy Law. I love interacting with people and getting to know their story. In my free time, I enjoy playing with my white lab, watching hockey (go Ducks!), and playing in a co-ed soccer league with other Chapman Law students.

My name is Jamil Shaaban. I grew up in Palmdale California and attended California State University Northridge where I obtained my degree in Business Law. Currently, I am in my fourth and final year of the JD/MBA program at Chapman University, Dale E. Fowler School of Law and the George L. Argyros School of Business and Economics. I am pursuing a career in the transactional side of law, including real estate, entertainment, sports, and corporate in house counsel. I am also a Student Ambassador and the ADR competition team president. Outside of the scholarly setting, I am an extremely easygoing and fun person. I love to be active, race motocross, play sports, and generally be outdoors.
