RESEARCH/TEACHING INTERESTS

Dr. Nair’s research interest centers around characterizing human touch and developing tactile assistive technologies. Specific projects under investigation include development of haptic enabled assistive writing, wearable tactile musical interface, low-cost refreshable braille-graphics display, and tactile interfaces for mobile devices. Dr. Nair’s teaching interest is in developing hands-on learning environment both inside and outside classroom.
