»Gene Haas Foundation Scholarship

The Fowler School of Engineering is fortunate to have received the Gene Haas Scholarship to awardGene Haas Foundation logo students with tuition, books, supplies, and tools. The primary goal of the Gene Haas Foundation is to build and promote skills in the machining industry by providing scholarships to students who focus on CNC machining technology.

Awards range from $500 to $2,500 per student. Recipients of this award will be expected to attend an award luncheon if selected.

Award criteria

  • Open to undergraduate students.
  • Open to first-years, sophomores, juniors, and seniors.
  • Must be a full-time student in the Fowler School of Engineering for the entire academic year.
  • Must have a cumulative 3.0 GPA or higher at the time of application.
  • Must be majoring in a Fowler School of Engineering degree program.
  • Must have CNC machining experience by completing the CPSC/CENG 298 on Machining Processes or ENGR 302 Processes in Manufacturing.
  • Experience with CAD software preferred.
  • Previous Gene Haas Foundation Scholarship recipients are not eligible.
