The Fowler Engineering Circuit (FEC) is a student-focused ambassador group that bridges the gap between the students and FSE leadership, working to enhance the student experience and mission of the school.

Key functions of the Fowler Engineering Circuit

The primary goals of the Fowler Engineering Circuit are to:

Increase communication between students and Fowler Engineering leadership.
Assist with the identification of student needs and opportunities.
Present actionable student recommendations each semester
Boost student participation in Fowler Engineering initiatives and events.
Provide greater representation of student perspectives in school planning.
Support the development of student leadership and community engagement.

What membership entails

As an FEC member, your role comes with key responsibilities and time commitments each semester, which include

Attend monthly meetings during the Fall and Spring semesters.
Serve as a Fowler School of Engineering ambassador during at least two Fowler Engineering events in the 2026 - 2027 academic year: Orientation, Homecoming, Discover Chapman events, Student Panels, Preview Day, Commencement, and Zoom sessions with prospective students.
Work on a committee project/initiative during the academic semester that supports Fowler Engineering initiatives

Attend a minimum of two (2) FEC meetings during the academic semester.
- The council holds monthly meetings per academic semester.
Serve as a Fowler School ambassador during at least two Fowler Engineering events per semester.
- Events include Orientation, Discover Chapman events, Student Panels, Preview Day, Commencement events, and Zoom sessions with prospective students.
Work on a committee project/initiative during the course of the academic semester that supports Fowler Engineering initiatives.

To be a member of the Fowler Engineering Circuit, you will be required:

To be a freshman, sophomore, junior, senior, or graduate student in an FSE major and/or minor.
Maintain a minimum 2.75 cumulative GPA and be in good academic standing without any administrative, behavioral, or conduct sanctions.
Demonstrate professionalism and a positive attitude in interactions within the FSE and Chapman community.
Display promptness and reliability in work ethic, excelling in collaborative team environments.
Effectively communicate via Slack and/or email, ensuring timely responses.
