» B.A. in Communication Studies

The Communication Studies major focuses on the development of excellent communication skills to prepare students for a wide variety of occupations.  Graduates of this program may consider a career in public administration, government service, overseas employment, crisis management, negotiations, or mediation.

Health and Strategic Communication is growing to be one of the biggest areas in the communication field and a graduate program is offered at Chapman.  Enhance your education to learning about patient-health care provider relationships, educating communities about health-care goals, working with hospitals, insurance agencies, and many other kind of health care providers and organizations.

With an undergraduate degree in Communication Studies under your belt, you’ll have acquired some key insight on how law can be practiced.  The Dale E. Fowler School of Law is literally right across the street from Chapman and holds the opportunity for you to engage your knowledge of communication and even expand it further from a different perspective.

Communication Studies is very flexible area of study and with a Bachelor’s degree you still have the flexibility when it comes to continuing your education with graduate work.  Chapman offers close to 50 graduate programs which almost all can be explored with a communication background.
