Tara Niami

Tara Violet Niami is an award-winning Iranian-British American fine art photographer and cinematographer. Her work as a cinematographer spans narrative and documentary features and shorts, music videos, and fashion film, and has screened in festivals including Palm Springs International Short Film Festival, Outfest, and Los Angeles Film Festival. A photographer since her high school days, Tara's images have been exhibited internationally and featured in publications such as Vogue Spain, Indiewire, and Dazed & Confused Magazine. She was the production still photographer of Focus Features' award-winning film The Mustang.

Tara has taught Cinematography at Dodge College since 2023. She received her BFA in Photography from Pratt Institute and her Cinematography MFA from AFI in 2017.
