Biography

Robert R. Gasaway is a Washington D.C. attorney and legal reform advocate. Rob spent twenty-five years at Kirkland & Ellis LLP, where he served as lead attorney in cases before the United States Supreme Court, U.S. Courts of Appeals, State Supreme Courts, federal and state trial courts, administrative agencies, and state legislatures.  He has lectured on law, politics, history, economics, and business in America, Europe, and Asia; and served as Lecturer in Law at the University of Chicago Law School.  Rob’s scholarly publications cover topics such as constitutional rights, federalism, administrative law, common law, and legal reform.  Rob began his career as a business consultant and financial planning specialist; he holds a J.D. from the University of Chicago; M.A. and M.Phil degrees in intellectual history from Yale; and a B.A. in economics from Northwestern.
