Biography

Mark C. Harrison is an Assistant Professor and Director of Academic Labs and Research in the Fowler School of Engineering at Chapman University. He received his received B.S. (2010), M.S. (2012), and Ph.D. (2015) degrees in Electrical Engineering from the University of Southern California. From 2015-2019, he worked in industry in various Research Scientist and Hardware Engineer roles.

His research interests include integrated and fiber-based photonic devices for communications and sensing applications, integrated nonlinear photonic devices, and device design using computational techniques such as inverse design. His goal is to design integrated photonic devices that make more complex device and system design easier.
