Biography
Kyle Hampton is a Clinical Associate Professor of Economics at Chapman University
and a member of the Smith Institute for Political Economy and Philosophy. Kyle believes
that economic literacy helps us appreciate the hidden connections that animate our
increasingly complex world and has spent the last twenty years awakening thousands
of students to the power of these ideas.
Kyle recently relocated from the University of Alaska Anchorage where he was awarded the 2017 Chancellor's Award for Excellence in Teaching and the 2017 Professor of the Year: Influence in Education Award. He was also named one of Alaska’s Top Forty Under Forty and the UAA College of Business and Public Policy’s Teacher of the Year in 2013.
Kyle earned his doctorate in experimental economics from George Mason University in 2003.
