Biography

Dr. Karl Hess is an Associate Professor of Pharmacy Practice at Chapman University School of Pharmacy (CUSP). Dr. Hess earned his PharmD from the Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Allied Health Sciences in Boston in 2005. He subsequently completed a PGY1 community pharmacy residency at the University of Southern California, School of Pharmacy in 2006.

At CUSP, Dr. Hess lectures on a variety of subjects on health care delivery, self-care therapeutics, immunizations, travel health and medicine, and pharmacy management and entrepreneurship. Dr. Hess’ areas of academic and research interests include innovative community pharmacy practice services, travel health and medicine, vaccines, and self-care therapeutics and is specifically interested in the advancement of community pharmacy practice and related services.
